(1974) and Ph.D. (1980) in Applied Electrical Engineering from Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Technical University). From 1974 to 1977, he served as a member of the technical staff in Laboratory of Special Magnets. Lunin's research interests are in the area of electromagnetic nondestructive evaluation, particularly with regard to the application of new computer technologies (numerical modeling, signal analysis, pattern recognition) for the study of energy/defect interactions, for development of sensors and inspection procedures. He has developed three introductory and three advanced educational NDE courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Lunin is the author of over 100 scientific articles in the field of applied mathematics and nondestructive evaluation, among which 25 papers are published in English in edited conference proceedings.
