Gerd-Ruediger Jaenisch Gerd-Ruediger Jaenisch is Head of the Project Group “Modelling and Reconstruction for Non-Destructive Testing” in the Department VIII “Materials Protection; Non-Destructive Testing” of the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM). He received his M.S. (1989) and his PhD (1992) in theoretical physics in from the Technical University of Dresden. Since 1992 he works with BAM in the Division “Non-Destructive Testing and Characterization; Radiology”. Jaenisch’s research interests are in the area of radiographic non-destructive techniques, particularly with regards to the application of theoretical methods for simulation and 3D inverse problems including the development and implementation of new reconstruction algorithms for highly incomplete data sets. In 1991 he finished his Habilitation at Technical University of Dresden where he took over the NDE lecture since 1992. Jaenisch is author of over 150 scientific papers in the field of applied physics and non-destructive evaluation. He received two prizes for his contributions in the NDE area.
