SHU-YI ZHANG

Dr. Shu-yi Zhang graduated from the Department of Physics, Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, and later from the graduate school of the same University with a specialty in acoustics.  Since then, she has joined  the faculty of the Department of Physics and Institute of Acoustics, Nanjing University.   There she has been doing research on molecular acoustics, surface acoustic waves, acousto-optic interaction and photoacoustics.  Presently she is a Professor and the Director of the Institute of Acoustics, Department of Electronic Science and Engineering, Nanjing University, a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Senior Member of the IEEE UFFC Society.  Her current research fields are photoacoustics, laser ultrasonics and acoustic and thermal wave NDE of advanced materials, devices and substructures.
