SUNG-JIN SONG

Sung-Jin Song has been at Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, Korea since 1998 and is currently an NDE Group Leader, Safety and Structural Integrity Research Center, and Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University .

Dr. Song's research interest fall in the area of ultrasonic NDE of broad range of engineering materials and structures. He has been involved with the development of intelligent ultrasonic evaluation systems of weldments using ultrasonic testing models, neural networks and various signal processing techniques.

In addition, he is currently a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Korean Society for Nondestructive Evaluation, and a member of Korean Society of Mechanical Engineering, Korean Society for Welding, and American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). He is a NDT Level III (RT, UT, MT, PT) certified by ASNT.
